Here are a few advertising
mugs. Both on the far left date these ribbed-bottom mugs to 1981
and both are marked Fire-King in script. The Golden Jubilee mug is
an anniversary mug printed in 1962. The Bidall is late 1970s but
the LaCroissantere isn’t even Fire-King, its Anchor Hocking. Candy
Ann’s is the real deal, from the 1960s and is known in at least 2 other
colors. From L to Bottom R the grading is: C-, A-,
B+,
C-, B+, and B+. |
6 mugs all dating to the
1960s. Hand painted with various themes, Pineapple, Christmas, and
kinfolk. Bold and bright. B- |
Each of these Children’s
ABC mugs is like the Holy Grail of FK mug collecting. The run was
apparently short, possibly because of manufacturing problems. The
black and red one is the only one I’ve ever seen, and only 2 or 3 times
for each of the others. As far as I know only the blue and red one
is pictured in any of the popular Fire-King books. A++ |
Here are some uncommon D handle antique car mugs with 2 different cars
on each mug. B grade from the 1960s. |
A similar set, but in 4
bold colors, a completely different series and somewhat hard to find.
B+ grade. These date to the latter 1960s to early 1970s. |
Johnny Appleseed Junior Ecology

B- 1960s and an unknown
advertising mug, a smiley face sun from the late 1970s, also a B- |
Here are two more of the
Disney mugs of the same lineage as the famous Jiminy Cricket. Both
are marked Oven Fire-King Ware on bottom, dating them to the 1940s.
It’s the only Robin Hood mug I’ve ever seen. Very Rare. A++ |
