The Institutional Mugs
This is a group that was produced for use by cafeterias, nursing homes and other congregate seating situations.  The first one, Vienna Lace is not really institutional but is included here because of its bottom stamping, being more similar to the other two than other Fire-King mugs.  Actually these might be more of a cup than a mug but I’ve seen them called both.

The institutional mugs were different in their identification, so that each piece could be ordered for its color and pattern. (Not Vienna Lace though).

(1) Vienna Lace is a dinnerware mug with a silver plated rim.  Marked Placesetters Collection on the bottom.  It dates to the early to mid 1970s.  Never microwave a metallic plated mug as the sparks will damage the plating.  (2) An example I haven’t been able to find reference material for.  It is marked Anchor Hocking 910 Fire-King 350 Made In U.S.A.  So, its from the 900 line and that’s all I can share at this time.  (3) A KI-907 Conical Cup in green vine border, marked similarly to #2.

The last two are sturdy mugs and with an atypical shape, you’ll have to keep your eyes out for them in visits to the local markets.
