The "Other" Mugs

This section is for other mugs and cups that didn’t fit somewhere else.  Included here are many that are quite valuable today.  It does not include all other cups, such as Jane Ray, Ruby Red, Forest Green, various dinnerware cups, the dainty teacups, and not even the demitasse cups which is a grouping by itself.  This section is for items which are commonly referred to as “Mug” though.

Here are the 3 Little Bo Peep mugs in vitrock glass, before Anchor Hocking used the Fire-King logo.  Probably dates to the late 1930s.  The red and blue ones are uncommon but the tri-color one in the middle is very rare, and particularly attractive.  Not marked on bottom and with an outer flat heat ring.

Here is a very rare Stagecoach mug in vitrock, also from the late 1930s.  I’ve never seen one for sale on Ebay listed as a Fire-King mug.

A G207 straight sided restaurant mug in jadeite.  These are quite rare and can be hard to distinguish from the G215 mugs.  On this mug the bottom begins to flare outwards while on the G215, the bottom is rounded inwards.  See the handle comparison picture also.

The grog mug from the B.C. collection.  It is marked only with a mold number on bottom.  Be aware that there is a stacking mug with B.C. characters in color on them as well but it will be very hard to find.

A St. Denis mug or cup in ivory.

A mug identified with the 1700 line, in ivory, apparently some of them sold as part of a Courtley shaving soap kit, and will be noted with a Courtley decal.  This mug is very rare and has a very unique shape.

An ivory Ransom cup – from the 1700 line.

Here is a very nice and hard to find restaurant ware G-299  jadeite cup dating to the 1950s.  Very thick.

Here are the  G215 and the G207 mugs side by side.  Notice the difference in the handles.  The G207 has a much thinner handle.

A set of W-215 and G215 thick restaurant mugs in white and jadeite.  Both are very thick with a thick handle, dating to the 1960s.  The white one is much more valuable than the jadeite.
